Launch of a Resource efficiency Transition Platform: common press conference by Janez Potočnik, John Bruton, Ellen MacArthur, and Jeremy Grantham

On 5 June, Janez Potočnik, Member of the EC in charge of Environment, John Bruton, Chairman of the Platform and Former Irish Prime Minister, and Ellen MacArthur, creator of a Foundation which promotes circular economy, presented the Resource Efficiency Platform. It provides high-level guidance and advice on policy measures designed to nudge the European economy towards a more sustainable path. The platform provided direction and supported in the EU's efforts to move towards a more resource-efficient economic system, focusing on the key resources, sectors and policy areas defined in the Roadmap to a resource-efficient Europe.
