Joint press conference by Catherine Ashton and Štefan Füle on the Adoption of the 2012 European Neighbourhood Policy Package

On 15 May 2012, Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, and Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, gave a press conference on the Adoption of the 2012 European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) Package, in Brussels. On this occasion, they discussed mutual accountability, sanctions in Syria, and substantial additional investments in partner countries. The ENP Package assesses the first year of implementation of the new approach. It also proposes a roadmap for giving further impetus to the implementation of the Eastern Partnership. Over the last twelve months, the EU has responded with determination to a fast - changing situation in its neighbourhood.
