Opening of the exhibition "Europe meets the world" by Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Prime Minister, and José Manuel Barroso

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Prime Minister and President in office of the Council of the EU, participated in the inaugural meeting of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU with the EC in Copenhagen. The programme was notably composed of a plenary meeting and different working sessions to discuss the implementation of the main priorities, such as financial stability and the creation of growth and jobs, for example through deepening the Single Market, green growth and energy efficiency. On 12 January 2012, José Manuel Barroso and Helle Thorning-Schmidt attended the opening of an exhibition on Europe's relations with the world entitled "Europe meets the world" in the National Museum of Denmark.
