Eurogroup meeting: extracts from the joint press conference by Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the Eurogroup, Olli Rehn and Klaus Regling

On 12 July 2010, the Eurogroup examined the economic situation and reviewed the stress tests carried out by the European supervisory authorities in the banking sector, which was made public in the second half of July 2010. They took stock of the state of play regarding the implementation of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), and got introduced with its newly appointed CEO, Klaus Regling, who took office on the first of July 2010. They also discussed on the progress made by Greece, in implementing the economic adjustment programme on the basis of the interim review by the Commission. Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the Eurogroup, Olli Rehn, Member of the EC in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs, and Klaus Regling, gave a joint press conference after the meeting.
