International migration had fallen during the economic crisis, but as the recovery moved into gear migrants will once again be needed to fill labour and skill shortages. This was the main conclusion of the OECD's International Migration Outlook 2010, containing analysis and projections on the impact of the crisis on migration trends and immigrants, that was published on Monday 12 July 2010. Angel Gurría, Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Cecilia Malmström, Member of the EC in charge of Home Affairs, and László Andor, Member of the EC in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, presented the findings at a common press conference.
