Visit of Angel Gurría, OECD Secretary-General, to José Manuel Barroso
On 11 May 2010, Angel Gurría, Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), paid a visit to José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, in brussels. They discussed future cooperation between the two institutions, like their strategic partnership, accession of EU Member States to OECD, implications of the implementation of the Treaty of Lisbon for the Commission and EU Delegation at OECD.
Future cooperation between the two institutions also in view of the Europe 2020 was discussed (i.e. stepping up existing cooperation on R&D indicators and developing innovation intensity indicators).
A final issue on the agenda of the meeting was the role of the OECD in G20. In the margins of the meeting, José Manuel Barroso and Angel Gurría also made statements about the plan that was approved by the Ministers for Finance of the 27 Member States. SHOTLISTLINK
