2nd High level conference on Industrial Competitiveness: extracts from the closing keynote addresses by Antonio Tajani and Miguel Sebastián Gasón, Spanish Minister for Industry, Tourism and Trade and President in office of the Council
A High level conference on Industrial Competitiveness was held on 26 April 2010 in Brussels, with the aim of highlighting key questions in the field of industry, taking into account what has been learnt from the crisis the sector suffered from. The discussion focused on the crisis management and tried to extrapolate lessons from failures and successes so far, also in view of the Europe 2020 agenda.
Issues in the agenda of the meeting were discussions about how to make European industries fit for the challenges ahead, and attractive for strategic long-term investors, and about the role policy could play in this structural adjustment process.
Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, and Sebastián Gascón, Spanish Minister for Industry, Tourism and Trade and President in office of the Council, gave closing keynote addresses during the conference. SHOTLISTLINK
