Barcelona hosted on 28 and 29/01/2010 the Informal Meeting of European Union Ministers of Employment and Social Security. Today, the Europe's Social Troika have met before the Council started. The Spanish Government's Minister for Employment and Immigration, Celestino Corbacho, chaired the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Employment and Social Security. The Social Troika meeting has been held with European social partners (representatives from unions and business organisations) and with the Social Platform (representatives of non-governmental organisations from the EU). They discussed about the future 2020 Strategy, tackling especially unemployment.
