Visit of Bozidar Djelic, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, to Viviane Reding, Joaquín Almunia and Janez Potocnik
Bozidar Djelic, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, visited the European Commission, on 22 October 2008.
He first met with Viviane Reding, Member of the EC in charge of Information Society and Media, to discuss Serbia's participations in the EU's Information Society programmes and the development of the telecoms and audiovisual market in Serbia.
Bozidar Djelic also met with Joaquín Almunia, Member of the EC in charge of Economic and Monetary Affairs, to talk about Serbia's 2009 budget and the reduction of the budget deficit, possibilities of a new arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the global financial crises and its impact on Serbia.
Finally, Bozidar Djelic had a meeting with Janez Potocnik, Member of the EC in charge of Science and Research, to presented the current programme for research of Serbia in order to introduce the latest technological developments of his country and to show Serbian interest in a future participation on the Research European Policy.
