On 8 June 2017, the 3546th meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council took place in Luxembourg. Ministers of Justice and Home Affairs discussed the way forward on e-evidence on the basis of the practical solutions identified as a result of the EC's expert process. They also jointly discussed the challenges related to the increased number of children in migration travelling to and arriving in the European Union. The Council adopted a number of general approaches including on the directive on the supply of digital content and services, on the proposal for a directive on countering money laundering by means of criminal law, and on data protection by the union institutions and bodies. Ministers eventually exchanged views on migration policy, in particular on the situation in the Central Mediterranean and on the implementation of the Malta declaration of 3 February 2017. This video shows the joint press conference given by Vĕra Jourová, Member of the EC in charge of Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, and Marlene Bonnici, Maltese Permanent Representative to the EU.
