Participation of Frans Timmermans, First Vice-President of the EC, in the Citizens' Dialogue, in Bucharest

On 20 April 2017, Frans Timmermans, First Vice-President of the EC in charge of Better Regulation, Inter-Institutional Relations, the Rule of Law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, took part to a Citizens' Dialogue in Bucharest. On this occasion, he met with around 250 citizens in the Museum of National Art of Romania in Bucharest. Key themes of the passionate debate were the Future of Europe, the rule of law, the need to prepare European societies for the “industry 4.0” and the fight against populism and re-emerging forms of nationalism.
