Milestones in 60 years of EU history On the occasion of the 60 years anniversary of the signing of the Rome Treaties, the Audiovisual Service of the European Commission has made a compilation of archive video footage illustrating the major milestones in EU history since 1957. It contains highlights such as the signing of Treaties, accession of new member states, the fall of the Berlin wall, the Schengen agreement and the creation of the Single market, the introduction of the Euro and the EU winning the Nobel peace prize.
