EU Health and Food Safety - Audit reporting and monitoring of progress

1 579 views

This video outlines the flow and key elements of audit reporting and monitoring of progress with regards to audit recommendations made and how these are addressed by the auditee. The video is especially aimed at actors receiving audits from the European Commissions in the area of health and food safety.

As you know, the European Commission and its Directorate General for Health and Food Safety is responsible for conducting audits, inspections and other related non-audit activities in EU and non-EU countries. These activities are designed to ensure that EU legislation on food and feed safety, animal health and welfare, plant health and medical devices is properly implemented and enforced. Thanks to these efforts, EU citizens can rest assured that their food is safe and that products are traded under safe conditions, all of which also helps to promote jobs, growth and investment.
