José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and the Heads of State or Government of the EU met in Brussels for the European Council hosted by Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council. During the second day of the European Council José Manuel Barroso presented to the Heads of State or Government of the EU the climate and energy priorities for Europe.
The political provisions for an Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine were signed on the same day to seal the strong political partnership that brought Ukraine and the EU closer together.
