Visit of Štefan Füle, to Georgia: 04/03/2014

On 4 March 2014, Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, visited Tbilisi, Georgia, to stress EU's support for Georgia's reform efforts and its sovereign choice to sign the Association Agreement, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, with the EU. During his visit, he met with Irakli Garibashvili, Georgian Prime Minister, as well as with Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia. After meeting with Maia Panjikidze, Georgian Minister for Foreign Affairs, he visited Tbilisi's Funicular. Štefan Füle also signed two financing agreements. With Alex Petriashvili, Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, he signed a financing agreement to support Georgia’s reform of public finance policy. Finally, Štefan Füle met with Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.
