On 20 February 2014, José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, received the visit of Bohuslav Sobotka, Czech Prime Minister, at the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium. Following their meeting, they gave a joint press briefing on the new Czech government and its agenda of reinforcing relations with the European Union.
