On 18 November 2013, back from her visit to disaster-stricken Philippines, Kristalina Georgieva, Member of the EC in charge of International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, held a press conference on the situation on the ground and the humanitarian assistance a few days after Typhoon Haiyan hit the country.
