Visit of Pedro Passos Coelho, Portuguese Prime Minister, to José Manuel Barroso: arrival, round table and group photo
On 6 November 2013, a delegation of the Portuguese government, led by Pedro Passos Coelho, Portuguese Prime Minister, met in Brussels, Belgium, the College of the European Commission, headed by President José Manuel Barroso. This was the first time that the College met with the Portuguese Prime-Minister and his government. Discussions were focused on the Portuguese adjustment programme and the deepening of the EMU, as foundations for confidence and growth in Portugal and in the EU. The EU Industrial policy and the competitiveness agenda, and the preparations for the MFF 2014 – 2020 were addressed as well.
