Visit of Antonio Tajani and Janez Potočnik to Beijing: 19/07/2013

On 19 July 2013, Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, participated at the opening of the Matchmaking Event organized by the EU-SME Centre and the Enterprise Europe Network for supporting green economic exchanges. He, then, attended a meeting with Wang Zhifa, Deputy Director of the Chinese National Tourism Administration, for the conclusion of the Joint Statement on Sustainable Tourism. Antonio Tajani also had a bilateral meeting with Zhi Shuping, Chinese Minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, where they reviewed the existing cooperation. Both parties formally signed a joint statement and a letter of intent on continued and strengthened and enhanced cooperation. Antonio Tajani and Janez Potočnik, Member of the EC in charge of Environment, also hold together a press conference at the EU Delegation building in Beijing.
