Participation of Viviane Reding in the debate on the Future of Europe, in Helsinki
While the debate on the future of Europe and the impact of the economic crisis grows in strength, the European Commission is to meet people in different European cities, to hear their concerns and expectations for the future. On this occasion, Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, travelled to Helsinki on 24 September, to participate in the one of the meetings with the citizens of the whole European Union (the Citizens' Dialogues). The participants debated about Europe's way out of the economic crisis, citizens' rights and the future of Europe.
