EU/South Korea Summit with the participation of José Manuel Barroso

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council, participated in the 6th EU/South Korea Summit with Lee Myung-bak, President of South Korea.
The leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues. They warmly welcomed the expansion of bilateral Trade after the provisional application of the EU/South Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) of 2010. During the joint press conference José Manuel Barroso stated that South Korea was a natural and likeminded partner of the EU. The country and the EU were working closely to reap the full potential of their strategic partnership and their trade and investment relations.
