Visit of José Manuel Barroso to Vienna

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, went to Vienna where he notably met with Werner Faymann, Austrian Federal Chancellor. They visited together the "Berufsausbildung fuer Jugendliche GmbH" section of the learning centre for young unemployed persons "Jugend am Werk" (JAW). The President was impressed by the Austrian model to promote youth employment. During the joint press conference he welcomed Austria's European commitment and leadership on issues like youth employment and the financial transaction tax.
José Manuel Barroso also met with Heinz Fischer, Federal President of Austria, and Barbara Prammer, President of the Austrian National Council.
