Young people have been hit hardest by the economic crisis as they often lack the experience and skills to be competitive on the labour market. Today one in five young Europeans cannot find a job. To emphasise the value of young people in the workforce, the Youth@Work action aims to show that, thanks to their fresh take on the world, young people often have innovative ideas and energy to bring to the table.
Carola Raimondo has been an entrepreneur for 16 years now and she owns two businesses employing young people. Cristina Ghimpu is one of these young people. She’s from Romania and she found a job in one of Carola Raimondo’s companies thanks to the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme. The two women are very happy with this exchange of experience and knowledge.
