Youth @ Work - Poland

Young people have been hit hardest by the economic crisis as they often lack the experience and skills to be competitive on the labour market. Today one in five young Europeans cannot find a job. To emphasise the value of young people in the workforce, the Youth@Work action aims to show that thanks to their fresh take on the world, young people often have innovative ideas and energy to bring to the table. According to a European study, in Poland around 50% of people would prefer to be self-employed rather than an employee. Grzegorz Babynko is one of those who chose to start his/her own business; he makes and sells jewellery and he’s an expert at valuing precious stones. Even if it’s difficult sometimes, his goal is to keep on developing his business.
