Eastern Partnership Summit with the participation of José Manuel Barroso

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, participated in the Eastern Partnership Summit notably with Donald Tusk, Polish Prime Minister and President in office of the Council of the EU, and Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council.
This meeting confirmed that Eastern Partnership remained a credible framework to strengthen and deepen the relations between the EU and its Eastern partners and at the same time to help them on the path towards economic and political reforms. José Manuel Barroso stressed that the essence of EU's neighbourhood policy was closely linked to the promotion of democracy, human rights, pluralism, social justice, good governance and the rule of law.
