The EU is particularly concerned by the issue and wants to stimulate debate on the topic. With this aim in mind, the Hungarian Presidency of the EU is organising a Conference on youth employment in Budapest, from 4 to 5 April 2011. It will focus on three key topics, namely anticipating the skill needs of the economy, facilitating transitions from school to work and stimulating labour demand towards young people. Moreover, on 29 April, the Youth@Work action, which aims to put young people and SMEs in contact, will be launched in Budapest during the European Job Fair for the Youth organised by the Hungarian national employment service.
