Visit of José Manuel Barroso to Rome

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, went to Rome where he met with Giorgio Napolitano, President of Italy, and Silvio Berlusconi, Italian Prime Minister. The President then received the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali (LUISS University). He made a speech entitled "Delivering on our highest law: the good of European citizens" at this occasion.
