EU Financial assistance to Albania

On 9/11/2010, the European Commission will adopt its annual strategy document explaining its policy on EU enlargement. The document includes a summary of the progress made over the last twelve months by each candidate and potential candidate as is the case for Albania. Furthermore, on the same date, the 2010 progress reports will be published covering information obtained from the Commission services which monitor and assess the achievements of each of the candidate and potential candidates over the last year. The enlargement package also contains a multi-annual financial framework setting out the financial assistance available to support the reform efforts of the candidate and potential candidates over the next years. An important issue is the Commission's opinion on the Albanian application for EU membership. This stockshot aims to illustrate the enlargement package and includes footage covering: - Cross border cooperation; - Infrastructure; - Justice system; - Environment; - Equal opportunities.
