Petrol: where is its price coming from?

13 689 views

This animation explains in a simple and attractive way how the price of a litter of petrol is formed in the EU and what the different components of this price are: production, transport, refinery, logistics and taxes, which are far from being negligible. The high price of petrol, which is not expected to decrease, encourages consumers to modify their behaviour in favour of less energy consuming vehicles or alternative means of transport.
