High-level conference titled "Single European Sky - the time for Action": extracts from the signing ceremony of the BLUE MED FAB agreement and from the joint press conference by Siim Kallas and Efthemios Flourentzou, Cypriot Minister for Communications and Work
On 11 October 2012, Representatives from the entire Air Transport Management community gathered in Cyprus for a high level Aviation Summit, which took place on October 11 and 12 in Limassol. The summit, titled “Single European Sky - the time for Action” is co-organised by the European Commission and the Cyprus Presidency to provide the appropriate forum for a strategic discussion concerning future steps and progress in the field of European air traffic control. During the summit, the relevant Ministers of Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Malta signed the BLUE MED FAB State Level Agreement.
Following the signing ceremony, Siim Kallas, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Transports, and Efthemios Flourentzou, Cypriot Minister for Communications and Works, gave a press conference on the restructuring of the Mediterranean airspace. SHOTLIST
