Meeting of the Danish Government and the EC in Copenhagen: extracts from the joint press conference by Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Prime Minister, and José Manuel Barroso
The European Commission met the Danish Government in Copenhagen on 11 and 12 January 2012 at the start of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The programme comprised a plenary meeting and different working sessions to discuss the implementation of the main priorities. These included financial stability and the creation of growth and jobs, for example through deepening the Single Market, green growth and energy efficiency.
Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Danish Prime Minister and José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC held the press conference on 12 January, following the meeting between the College of the Members of the EC, with the Danish Government.
