High level conference on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020: extracts from the closing remarks with the participation of Maroš Šefčovič
On 20 October 2011, Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration, participated in the EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020 Conference which took place in Brussels.
During two days of conference, the participants focussed on the shape of the next multiannual financial framework on the basis of the European Commission's proposals submitted in June 2010. This conference aimed to explore how the Commission's proposals resonate with other EU institutions and with the Member States. The sessions were devoted to identifying the key questions in the multiannual financial framework process and to highlight and assess the specific impact of the EU budget on activities directly affecting EU citizens.
