Visit of Catherine Ashton, Vice-President of the EC, to the Occupied Palestinian Territory

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the EC, went to Ramallah where she met with Salam Fayyad, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Palestinian Authority.
On 25/10/2012 the Vice-President met with Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority. She then went to Ras Karkar where she had a lunch with farmers harvesting their olive trees.
This was the fourth and last leg of a five-day visit to the Middle East.
