Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, went to Algeria where he participated in the Forum for the Dialogue in the Western Mediterranean, referred to as the "5+5 Dialogue". The main topics were socio-economic development, investment for sustainable growth, interconnectivity between the two sides of the Mediterranean, security cooperation, challenges facing young people in the region, including employment, and regional cooperation.
