Visit by Corina Creţu, Member of the EC, to Italy

On 9 February 2017, Corina Creţu, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, travelled to Italy. Her stay started with a visit of the Grande Progetto Pompei, afterwards she participated in a press conference about this project co-financed the European Regional Development Fund. Afterwards, Corina Creţu went to Napoli in order to participate in a conference entitled "Church and Labour ? What future for the young people in the South?" with Claudio De Vincenti, Italian Minister for Territorial Cohesion and of Mezzogiorno. The next day, Corina Creţu took part in a Conference on EU Cohesion Policy beyond 2020 together with Claudio de Vincenti, Gianni Pitella, Member of the EP, and presidents of regions and mayors of Italy. Finally, she visited the towns of Cascia and Norcia, towns damaged by the earthquake wich happened in August 2016.
