Visit by Antonio Tajani, Member of the EC, to Panama, Argentina and Paraguay

Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, started a tour in Latin America, as part of the "Missions for Growth" in order to foster economic ties and mutual benefit for EU and Panamanian, Argentinian and Paraguayan SMEs. He first travelled to Panama to promote innovation and sustainable and inclusive growth on both sides, to help EU companies and in particular EU SMEs to operate in Panama; and to promote EU industry in targeted sectors by proposing participation in matchmaking events with local entrepreneurs. The recent agreement reached by the Authority of the Panama Canal and the consortium Grupo Unidos por el Canal will allow the completion of this key element of infrastructure for the global economy.
He then continued his tour by stopping by Buenos Aires to discuss with Argentine's politicians and Argentine's entrepreneurs how to foster European industrial cooperation. He also participated in the launch of Eurocámara.
Finally, Antonio Tajani ended his tour in Asunción where he met he Paraguayan authorities to discuss about key issues of industrial cooperation. He also participated in a forum on Finance.
