Open Day at the European Institutions 2014

Karel De Gucht, Member of the EC in charge of Trade, took part in the Open Day at the European Institutions 2014. He was accompanied by Jimmy Jamar, Head of the Representation of the EC in Belgium, and his wife Mireille Schreurs. To celebrate Europe Day in the weeks leading up to the European elections, the EU institutions opened their doors to the public in Brussels. Each year thousands of people take part in visits, debates, concerts and other events to mark the day and raise awareness about the EU.
