Organic agriculture in France

Illustration pictures of the organic farm of Sainte Yvière (France), taken in the framework of the EU Organic Legislation 2014. The farm, located at 61570 Montmerrei, converted to organic farming in 2010. It is a family farm handled by the Avenel family which has on its 115 hectares some 100 cows, but also 30 Shetland ponies, ducks, hens, pigs, etc. It welcomes on a regular basis school classes as its quality of pedagogical farm. It is a beautiful place with modern investments. The farmer is young and dynamic, and embraces innovation techniques for drying his feed which allows to underline that organic can also be innovative.
