Visit of Ernő Rubik, Hungarian professor, architect and inventor of the Rubik's cube, to the EC

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the EC in charge of Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, Member of the EC in charge of Research, Innovation and Science, and László Andor, Member of the EC in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, received Ernő Rubik, Hungarian professor, architect and inventor of the Rubik's cube.
The meeting took place in the framework of the 40th anniversary of this colourful device. Discussions focused on the importance of science outreach and education in order to attract young people to careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
