Participation of Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the EC, at the conference 'Heritage First! Towards a Common Approach for a Sustainable Europe'

Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the EC in charge of Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, went to Athens, to participate in the conference entitled 'Heritage First! Towards a Common Approach for a Sustainable Europe', together with Panos Panagiotopoulos, Greek Minister for Culture and Sport and President in office of the Council of the EU.
The Conference aimed to stress the decisive and distinct contribution of cultural heritage to sustainable economic and social development, with a view to enhancing the potential of cultural heritage as a key resource for delivering the objectives of the EU 2020 strategy.
