Organic agriculture in the Netherlands

Illustration pictures of the organic farms in Hilvarenbeek and Middelbeers (Netherlands), taken in the framework of the EU Organic Legislation 2014. The pictures present the harvest of Brussels sprouts for the feeding of cows, the use of bio cereals and cucumber plants in a greenhouse using biological solution to avoid chemical products.
The farm "Boerderij 't Schop", located at 5081 ED Hilvarenbeek, was built by the family's grandfather nearly a century ago. However it has developed over the years to include an organic shop as well as cooking facilities for groups in the restaurant. The farm produces beef, pork, lamb, organic cheese, and vegetables and fruits.
The Jonkers' organic family farm, Oirschot Organics bv, is located at 5688JX Oirschot. In the modern greenhouses covering 3.5 hectares, Adri Jonkers and his family grow organic vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and a bit of eggplant and zucchini. They harvest from late March to late November.
