Visit of László Andor, Member of the EC, to the United Kingdom
László Andor, Member of the EC in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, pronounced a speech at the conference entitled "Labour Mobility in the European Union. The Inconvenient Truth", which was organised by the University of Bristol.
On the day after, he went to Cardiff where he visited the General Electric Aircraft Engines. He then visited the PUPIL project at the Internal Inclusion Unit of the Newbridge Comprehensive School, in South Wales. The "PUPIL" project is managed by the Cynon Valley Crime Prevention Association. It has already helped over 5,800 vulnerable or disadvantaged young people learn new skills, gain confidence and prepare for a better future.
