Participation of Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC, in events celebrating the Global Safer Internet Day 2014

Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Digital Agenda, participated in events celebrating the Global Safer Internet Day (SID) 2014. The Vice-President notably rewarded the creators of the best online content for kids, with the European Award 2013 "Best content for kids" in four categories. The winners had been chosen from 1100 entries. The awards had been given to the adults and children from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Iceland, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia and the United Kingdom.
Then together with EU's Insafe network, organiser of the Global Safer Internet Day, Neelie Kroes launched a Youth Manifesto on how to make a better Internet based on ideas from young people.
