Visit by Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC, to Greece

Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, went to Athens as part of the official launch of the Greek presidency of the Council of the EU. On this occasion, he discussed the Greek Presidency's priorities in the cohesion policy field. Johannes Hahn then went to the region of Attica where he met with Yannis Sgouros, Head of the Region of Attica, and representatives of Research and Entrepreneurs to discuss how the region can best take advantage of the new cohesion policy for 2014-2020 by specializing in sectors with growth potential.
