World Economic Forum, Davos, 22-25/01/2014

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, and Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Digital Agenda, participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. On 23/01/2014 Neelie Kroes first gave a press conference on the launch of the "Startup Europe" Partnership and of the new think tank the "European Digital Forum". José Manuel Barroso then participated in an Interactive session on Arts and Identity in the framework of a "New Narrative for Europe". The President also took part in several bilateral meetings and in a plenary session on Competitiveness. The day ended by a dinner on "Fostering Europe's next Renaissance".
The day after José Manuel Barroso and Neelie Kroes attended a private breakfast session on "Grand coalition for digital jobs". László Andor, Member of the EC in charge of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, was also present.
