Participation of Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC, in the launch of the Alpine strategy

Johannes Hahn, Member of the EC in charge of Regional Policy, participated in the launch of the Alpine strategy during a conference entitled "Towards an EU Strategy for the Alpine Region". The event was organised jointly by the Alpine Convention and the Permanent Representation of France to the EU.
At the conference of Grenoble of 18/10/2013 organised by France, 7 Alpine States (Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia and Switzerland) and 46 Alpine Regions had formally requested to develop and implement quickly an European strategy for the Alpine Region. Its final adoption was scheduled for June 2015 at the latest.
