Visit of Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC, to Thailand
Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship, embarked on a visit to Bangkok as part of the "Missions for Growth" in order to deepen economic relations with countries in the dynamic Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. He was accompanied by 40 companies and business associations from 15 member states, nearly half of them SMEs.
In this context, Antonio Tajani signed two letters of intent with Thailand's high-level officials to strengthen cooperation and dialogue on SME policy and sustainable tourism.
During his stay, Antonio Tajani also participated in an experience-sharing lunch organised by the European ASEAN Business Centre (EABC) for all participants. Later in the afternoon, European and Thai enterprises participated in a matchmaking event organised by the Thai-European Business Association (TEBA).
