Visit of José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, to Geneva

José Manuel Barroso, President of the EC, went to Geneva, where he met with Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). They notably gave a press point on the situation in Syria and Mozambique, before a visit of the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
José Manuel Barroso then met with Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman of the Davos World Economic Forum (WEF). The President also visited the Martin Bodmer Foundation. José Manuel Barroso eventually gave a speech at the University of Geneva entitled "What faces for Europe in 50 years?" (Quels visages pour l'Europe dans 50 ans?), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the European Institute. The speech was followed by a debate and the President also participated in the graduate ceremony for students of the 2013 Master of European Studies.
