Visit of Štefan Füle, Member of the EC, to Kosovo

Štefan Füle, Member of the EC in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, travelled to Pristina to meet with Kosovo leaders and to congratulate them after the Council of 28 June gave the green light for opening of negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
Štefan Füle discussed how best to prepare for the negotiations of the agreement on both EU and Kosovo sides. Among the topics on the agenda, there was the importance of keeping up the pace of reforms, in particular as regards elections, rule of law and trade issues. Commissioner Füle also encouraged the Kosovo leadership to continue engaging constructively in the dialogue with Belgrade and to implement the agreements reached to date.
