Launch of the United Nations High-level panel report on Development agenda after 2015

Andris Piebalgs, Member of the EC in charge of Development, and Janez Potočnik, Member of the EC in charge of Environment, participated in the presentation of the UN High-level panel report on Development agenda after 2015, which was organised in Brussels.
Co-organised by the EC and the NGO Concord, the event brought together members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the HLP and about 60 representatives from the civil society, as well as other EU institutions. Andris Piebalgs presented the UN panel’s findings and recommendations, which set out a universal agenda to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030 and ensure sustainable development of the planet, in order to reach the objectives of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
